The trade association the represents the professional audiovisual and information communications industries, Infocomm International, is now known as AVIXA. Established in 1939, Infocomm’s membership has exceeded 5,000 members, ranging from manufacturers, dealers, integrators, consultants, programmers, and more. Infocomm International is also the founder of the largest annual conference and exhibition for AV buyers and sellers, Infocomm.
So what is AVIXA? AVIXA stands for Audiovisual and Integrated Experience Association. AVIXA believes that audiovisual technology changes how people communicate and experience the world. Their goal is to drive the market for audiovisual solutions. AVIXA is the community for creative professionals that use technology to create integrated experiences.
AVIXA will still to be the producer of Infocomm, as well as a co-owner of Integrated Systems Europe. AVIXA will also continue to be the hub for professional collaboration, information, and community, as well as the resource for AV standards, certifications, training, market intelligence, and thought leadership.
So what is changing for Infocomm and its members? Simply the name. The same great services and industry insight will remain intact and continue to evolve. With AV being such a rapidly growing sector and technological advances being made faster than ever, AVIXA will lead the way as the premier resource for professionals in this arena.
